Private Music Lessons
Private lessons are a wonderful way to build your confidence as you learn your instrument. Receiving your teacher’s undivided attention means that you can ask as many questions as you like, and receive tailored feedback.
Learning music in a 1-1 private setting also means that you can pick your teacher’s brain and request very specific songs that you would like to learn on the guitar, piano or voice.
Private lessons are most popular for our adults who are wanting to refine their skills, and for kids who thrive in a 1-1 setting.

Group Music Lessons
We want our students to discover their leadership, express their sense of humour, and find a deeper sense of meaning as they learn to find their voice in the context of a group, and learn to embody a team-player mentality.
We are passionate about providing a safe, nurturing environment to allow students to feel at ease and fully comfortable to be themselves.
We want every student to feel seen and heard, therefore keep our group classes between 2-6 students (maximum of 4 students for piano).

Music Lessons for Kids
Children are like sponges. They absorb information and patterns quickly, and thrive when learning new languages as the neural connections in their brain fire big time.
Immersing children in environments with piano, guitar and singing from a young age can be extremely beneficial as they can pick up concepts swiftly.
Through games, activities, challenges and sticker rewards, our teachers prepare interactive piano lessons for young ones that children will learn to love!

Music Lessons for Adults
We offer singing, guitar and piano lessons for adults with zero experience, and for those who want to start learning music after taking a long break!
Our team love working with working professionals and parents. We teach adults who are new to music from complete scratch. No prior music experience needed.
With the incredible neurological, physiological and emotional benefits that come with learning an instrument - it’ll be a shame to buy into the lie that “it’s too late”. It’s never too late to pick up a new skill.
Do you offer performance opportunities?
At Music on Purpose, we LOVE celebrating our students by giving them performance opportunities. Both within our own community and in our wider community too! We hold regular Open Mic Nights and take fun performance opportunities partnering with Randwick City Council and Westfield Eastgardens. We want all our students to have the opportunity to work towards a goal bigger than themselves and share what they love most.
Why Music Lessons?
-
Learning music - purely for the sake of enjoyment might just be one of the best decisions you make. Picking up a hobby is an important part of maintaining a healthy life. And choosing to learn a musical instrument comes with a whole lot of brain health boosters too. We all thrive when we find a great balance in work, rest and play.
Playing the piano, guitar, or singing as a hobby has shown to bring incredible benefits such as preventing dementia at old age and enhancing hand-eye coordination.
We offer engaging, professional piano, guitar and singing lessons delivered by qualified teachers who are all about building their students’ confidence and love for music.
-
Choosing to learn piano, guitar or singing at whatever age is an awesome investment in more ways than one. It’s a financial investment into regular music lessons, and if you don’t already have one - it’s a great idea to invest in your own instrument to practice on during the week.
Music is more than just rocking up to a class every week. We really believe that our classes can help boost students’ confidence, love and passion for creative expression.
Our team believe that if our students love playing their instrument, and genuinely find piano, guitar or singing lessons fun - they will want to spend time playing at home. And when students enjoy the process of practicing, they will definitely see the benefits in their own improvement, and feeling at ease.

Do Group Piano Lessons Work?
-
Our group piano classes have proven to motivate students to practice more, feel more comfortable to show their true personality, develop a sense of leadership, teamwork, and feel a strong sense of belonging.
We’ve seen our students to discover their leadership, express their sense of humour, and find a deeper sense of meaning as they learn to find their voice in the context of a group, and learn to embody a team-player mentality.
-
We want every student to feel seen and heard, therefore keep our group classes at a micro-scale (maximum 4 students).
It is of utmost importance that we provide a safe, nurturing environment in our group piano lessons to allow students to feel at ease and fully comfortable to be themselves.
Each student will have their own 88-key fully weighted digital piano, and will work through a variety of pieces - ranging from classical songs to duets curated for the class where each student will play a different part (melody/accompaniment) — when played together will sound harmonious.
