At Music on Purpose - we believe that music can change the world.

We’re passionate about holding piano, guitar and singing lessons to help students grow in their confidence, self-esteem and love for learning music.

Music on Purpose is a music studio based in Maroubra (the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney), founded by Chloe. Our teachers are passionate about seeing their students thrive in their confidence, passion and love for music.

We hold singing, guitar and piano lessons for students of all ages, from all different backgrounds and skill levels. Our heart is to see our students grow in their musical abilities by creating a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages students to be unapologetically themselves.

Our mission is to offer excellent private / group piano, guitar and singing lessons that have a ripple effect in students’ lives, including their self-esteem, resilience and perseverance. Through taking a holistic approach to teaching, we want our students know they are cared for, so they can thrive in a safe learning environment.

Fun & Enjoyment

Having fun is an incredible form of self-care that often gets overlooked, especially as we take on more responsibilities later in life (welcome to the world of adulting!)

People often operate at their best when they have fun, and we want our music studio to offer just that. We’re passionate about creating an environment where students and teachers both have an awesome time and enjoy being immersed in music during the class, and throughout the week too. Fun makes practice worth it, and practice is essential for progress.

Holistic Growth

It’s been incredibly rewarding and special to have parents call in and tell us that they’ve seen massive changes in their kids since they started learning with us. It brings us the greatest joy to see our students grow in their confidence, creativity and ability to take risks in our classroom, and see this translate to other areas of their life.

We want our music lessons to build our students’ self-esteem and self-efficacy. This is one of the reasons why we truly believe that music can change the world.

Our Classes

  • Singing Lessons

    We hold both group singing lessons for kids ad teenagers, and private lessons for students of all ages (adults included). Our wonderful singing teachers are passionate about helping you learn how to warm up your voice, find you unique singing style, and help you refine your repertoire and achieve your goals as a vocalist.

  • Piano Lessons

    Believe it or not, piano is our most sought after instrument. We offer both group and private lessons for students of all ages. At this moment in time, we’re gauging interest from adults who would like to learn in a group setting - so let us now if you are interested! We’re here to help you learn the foundations of reading sheet music and playing the pieces ou love.

  • Guitar Lessons

    We currently have 1 group class for kids on Wednesdays and have limited spots free for private guitar lessons on Wednesdays.
