Damage: The hirer is responsible for any damage to the instrument that occurs during the rental period, including but not limited to, loss, theft, or physical damage. Return: The hirer agrees to return the instrument to the owner in the same condition as it was received, excluding normal wear and tear, by the agreed-upon end date. Insurance: The hirer is responsible for insuring the instrument against loss or damage during the rental period. Condition: The owner warrants that the instrument is in good working condition at the start of the rental period. Return: The owner agrees to inspect the instrument upon return and notify the hirer of any damages. Termination: Termination of the hire cannot happen before the agreed date. The only exception is if the hirer has undergone a serious injury that prevents them from playing the instrument (warranted a doctor’s certificate is provided).
